Induction Loop Systems

Idea Audio can specify, supply and install loop systems for most venues. We will only use equipment we know will do the job properly in sites which are suitable to cope with it. There is a great myth surrounding these loop systems which has been hyped up by installers who are "specialists" in such devices.  Loops are a  relatively low-tech piece of equipment which can work well but rely on the quality of the equipment, the installation and the sources, all matching and operating correctly to give optimum performance

For what it is worth,  when installed properly, the loop system should give a reasonable flat reception field throughout the designated area, it should have some form of compression to keep a reign on the level of the audio and it should sound as good as if you were listening to a Medium-wave broadcast.  

Essentially those who benefit are the only wearers of hearing aids who have a T position or have an inductive coupling facility for telephone receivers.  Hearing aids which don't support inductive coupling, don't have a T position such as some of the new digital in-ear units;  or those who are hard of hearing who don't wear an aid, don't benefit at all.

At present, the way I understand it, is that if you have a 'public' venue you will need to provide some form of assistance for the hard of hearing. This can be in the form of an induction loop system or a sound reinforcement system.  

As an alternative there is an Infra-red option, which is far better in terms of quality and flexibility. these can be stereo , multi channel and deliver broadcast quality sound.  Another advantage is that as it relies on infra-red to transmit the information, the system can be made secure by making the venue Light-Tight.  This application makes IR very suitable for council chambers and conference rooms where information security is of a high priority. This can also be used as a form of wireless translation equipment in multi-language conferences and meetings.

Sound system installation.

Idea Audio limited can install a sound reinforcement to suit your application. Whether it is for a foreground music system in an entertainment venue, or a multipurpose system for schools or public rooms. Church or meeting room. Factory, hotel or industrial unit.

We will take your requirements and budget into account and produce you a specification to meet your criteria. We like to specify our own speakers as we have ultimate faith in them meeting your expectations for audio performance and ability to blend in to their surroundings . However where there is a need for a speaker type not catered for by our range, or particular budget constraints exist, we can supply units to cover the application.   

We can supply the equipment and cabling for you to install yourselves or we can undertake the whole project, from drawing board to full operation.

In each instance we can provide user training and a full operation and maintenance manual

Hire Services.

We can hire you compact sound reinforcement equipment for conferences, meetings, talks, and parties.  Excellent for school plays where the cast have lost their 'playground' voices!    This is another great way to try out the Idea Audio RB range of loudspeakers and hear at first hand what a good system can do for your performance.

 Systems will be compact, quiet, have excellent quality and will be simple to operate.  We will advise you how to get the best performance and in most instances set the systems up leaving you to operate.  We can supply operators if required and rates are available on request.

We have some very compact battery/mains operated - powered speaker systems with built in radio mic receivers especially for those events where mains power is not readily available.

All hire systems are carefully put together to match your requirements, with size of venue, number of users and program material all taken into account. So the local WI won't end up with 15Kw of sub bass (unless they specify it of course!) and the school rock band won't get a pair of RB208's as their main front-of- house!

If you're having problems finding the right home audio system or would like to expand what you have, then call us for a quotation.
